I have two other gtx 's a msi, and an evga on the 5th and 7th slots both black.

I think you need to pair like cards up on shared channels. A shared channel is a black and gray slot together. Make sure to have the latest nvidia drivers and be patient after a windows 10 boot. It may take over 10 minutes for windows to properly detect your cards.

Once all cards were recognized visible in task manager , then I have not had any issues. While this is a costly setup, it mines numerous coins with exceptional efficiency. I would definitely recommend this sort of roll-your-own rig over any of the ASIC-type miners on the market, if only for resale value. I upgraded to this board from a 6 card setup. It "talks" to me unlike every other board I've ever had the displeasure to troubleshoot.

Yes this board is for the crypto currency miner that wants to chip away at virtual coin that may very well be the future we all hope it may become. Fastest and easiest setup when compared to most other boards. If you want to critique something about this board, which is not a problem in my opinion, are the 13 slots for gpu cards.

They are very close together! I simply added some electrical tape around the riser extensions to make sure they do not bump into each other, easy and comforting fix. I would recommend this board to no end. ASRock made a winner here. I normally stay away from the ASRock brands for general custom computer work, but now I am seriously reconsidering this opinion I have had of ASRock for years. Get it before it inevitably sells-out!!!

I had been working in getting this system up and running for about 2 weeks, using an Asus B Mining Expert. Having lots of issues trying to run 13 gpus. The system crashes all the time when I have all 23 gpus running. Bios is up to date, so is gpu drivers. The system runs stable when only half of the cards are plugged in.

Unable to keep the system running with all gpus. Will work with ASRock to try to get the system working. Will update review soon. Can't beat the PCIe port count at that price. I've been playing with cryptocurrency for about 5 years and I've been a computer engineer for over 20, so I have a pretty idea what I'm doing here. There's no consistency to which card hangs so I don't think it's the cards.

Another mining rig with a different motherboard has no problems with these configurations so I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard. I've solved the problem by grouping GPUs into their own rigs but I shouldn't have to. Overall this is a decent motherboard for mining, especially with so many PCIe slots.

I tried everything even bought usb to ps2 connections. So I called the manufacturer and they said to return it because I had a defective motherboard. I got in contact with the sellers they were very quick to respond and very helpful.

The item was returned but somehow the cpu pins were bent. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Translate all reviews to English. This motherboard was designed with cryptocurrency mining in mind, but it's perfectly serviceable as a general-purpose motherboard if you're aware of its quirks.

The biggest problem, and presumably the reason it's one of the cheapest boards on the market, is that although it's a socket board, the BIOS only supports 6th or 7th generation Intel chips not the 8th and 9th generation chips that are current at the time I write this. Oddly enough, the older Intel chips are more expensive to buy than the newer models, so getting this motherboard may prove to b a false economy.

Having said that, and if you can source a CPU at an acceptable price, the motherboard has everything you need for a decent computer - just. There's exactly one PCI-Express x16 slot, but it is the 3. There's Gigabyte ethernet and a total of six USB ports two of which are 3. There are 4-pin connectors for CPU fan and two chassis fans. There are all the usual front panel connectors, including audio and USB 3. Only five of these plus the x16 slot will be usable in a standard case; if you really want to use them all, you'll need risers.

Also showing its Bitcoin heritage, the board has power and reset buttons soldered on, so you can easily use it without a case if you so wish. So, with that caveat about it only supporting 6th and 7th generation Intel processors, it makes a perfectly serviceable computer, and it's cheap enough to use for experimenting with. It is a "Mining" board so was designed around using multiple graphcs cards for Bitcon mining, a bit late in that field as you would never get a viable return with this board today due to the millions of bitcoin farms around the world.

I would estimate it would take you a year or so to break even! I cant beleive that people think they can still make money from bitcoin mining If you are aware of the features of this board then it is a quality product. Served its purpose for me and I would get again. One person found this helpful. The power supply issues are a bit complicated if you are using multiple PSU's its possible to break the board so be careful Des utilisateurs Linux semblent reporter des installation full Nvidia.
